These ultra-rare Miso flavored Spicy Mania Cheetos were developed in Japan as a Limited Edition offering to test the limits of spiciness that they could get on to a snack. These are so spicy that Frito-Lay had to implement special manufacturing processes such as requiring dust-proof goggles and masks for factory workers to avoid irritation to the eyes and throat.
Since the first limited release of the "Spicy Mania" series in 2006, fans in Japan have been requesting new flavors due to the intense spiciness, and this Limited Edition batch does not disappoint.
Miso is a traditional Japanese seasoning produced by fermenting soybeans with salt and koji (a type of fungus), and sometimes with other ingredients such as rice, barley, or other grains. The result is a thick paste used for sauces and spreads, pickling vegetables or meats, and mixing with dashi soup stock to serve as miso soup, a Japanese culinary staple.
